- Discussion and possible recommendation regarding new and amended rules at 16 Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Chapter 83, §§83.10, 83.20, 83.21, 83.23, 83.25, 83.26, 83.31, 83.51, 83.70 – 83.72, 83.74, 83.80, 83.100, 83.102, 83.104 – 83.106 83.112, 83.120; the repeal of §83.75; and new §83.115 and response to public comments resulting from the passage of Senate Bill 1170 (SB1170), 82nd Legislature, Regular Session (2011), which amended Texas Occupations Code, Chapters 1601, 1602 and 1603; and in response to the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation’s rule simplification initiative and the Commission’s general rulemaking authority to administer the Cosmetology program.
