AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation entered into an Agreed Order with Richard B. Bundy, d/b/a Texas Barber College #2.

Barber schools are subject to Barber Act and Rules just as barber licensees are. The Texas Administrative Code clearly defines the rules schools must adhere to in order to maintain their standing as an approved school.

On or about April 3, 2008, a TDLR investigator inspected Texas Barber College #2. The school did not cooperate during the inspection and was also found to be in violation of the Health and Safety Standards for barber establishments.

A $1,000 penalty was assessed against the school. The school will also have to remain in compliance with all laws and rules administered by TDLR and fully cooperate in the investigation of any complaints.
