AUSTIN - The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Enforcement Division carries out “stings” across the state to catch unlicensed businesses that offer to perform electrical services. It is against the law to perform electrical work or maintenance without a license.
The following individual was caught in TDLR “stings” and issued a Cease and Desist Order during the first quarter of 2012:
Juan Valdez - Victoria
Texans want to keep their families safe by using licensed Electrical Contractors because:
- They have passed an examination proving they meet or surpass subject competency requirements,
- They must carry insurance, and
- Submit to and pass a criminal background check.
Visit the TDLR web site to view licensed electricians in your area. You may also search for past violations in which a final order was issued against companies/contractors: www.license.state.tx.us.
