Please note the following policy regarding the filing of forms which collect a person's individual information:

"An individual who completes and files this form with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (the Department) is entitled to the following from the Department:

(1) to be informed about the information that the Department collects about the individual, upon the request of the individual and subject to a few exceptions;

(2) to receive and review the information, under Sections 552.021 and 552.023 of the Texas Government Code; and

(3) to have the Department correct information about the individual that is incorrect, under Section 559.004 of the Texas Government Code."

      1. Class A Barber Certificate - $60
      2. Barber Instructor License - $70
      3. Specialty License - Barber Technician, Manicurist, Barber Technician/Manicurist, Barber Technician/Hair Weaving - $30
      4. Student Permit - $35 (includes $10 law and rules book fee)
      5. Shampoo Apprentice Permit - No charge
      6. Specialty Certificate of Registration - Hair Weaving, Hair Braiding - $43
      7. Specialty Instructor License - Barber Technician, Manicurist, Barber Technician/Manicurist, Barber Technician/Hair Weaving, Hair Weaving, Hair Braiding - $70
   2. Facilities:
      1. Barber Shop Permit - $60
      2. Mobile Barber Shop Permit - $60
      3. Specialty Shop Permit - $50
      4. Dual Shop - $130
      5. Booth Rental Permit - $50
2. Renewal Fees:
   1. Individuals:
      1. Class A Barber Certificate - $70 for certificates expiring prior to March 15; 2012; $60 for certificates expiring on or after March 15, 2012
      2. Barber Instructor License - $70
      3. Specialty License - Barber Technician, Manicurist, Barber Technician/Manicurist, Barber Technician/Hair Weaving - $40 for certificates expiring prior to March 15; 2012; $30 for certificates expiring on or after March 15, 2012
      4. Student Permit - No Charge
      5. Specialty Certificate of Registration - Hair Weaving, Hair Braiding - $53 for certificates expiring prior to March 15; 2012; $43 for certificates expiring on or after March 15, 2012
      6. Specialty Instructor License - Barber Technician, Manicurist, Barber Technician/Manicurist, Barber Technician/Hair Weaving, Hair Weaving, Hair Braiding - $70
   2. Facilities :
      1. Barber Shop Permit - $60
      2. Mobile Barber Shop - $60
      3. Specialty Shop Permit - $50
      4. Dual Shop - $100
      5. Booth Rental Permit - $50
3. Late renewal fees for licenses, certificates, and permits issued under this chapter are provided under §60.83 of this title (Relating to Late Fees).
4. Inspection Fees (for each occurrence)
• Risk-based Inspections for shops - $150
5. All fees are nonrefundable, except as otherwise provided by law or commission rule.
