List of registered Continuing Education providers and courses for Licensed Court Interpreters

The Licensed Court Interpreter Continuing Education rules were adopted and became effective on December 8, 2005 by the TDLR Commissioners. These rules affected those licenses expiring on or after September 1, 2006. A rule revision was adopted on August 3, 2006 postponing the continuing education requirement for Licensing Court Interpreters to January 1, 2007. Licensees will be required to complete eight (8) hours of continuing education in courses approved by the department, including two (2) hours of instruction in ethics.

Each year the provider must renew their registration in order to offer continuing education courses. Course approvals are valid for a period of one (1) year, assuming the provider's approval remains current throughout that time.

New continuing education courses must be approved by the Department before being offered. The provider will need to submit a course approval application prior to scheduling of any courses/seminars, a timed topic outline, the course material, and the required course approval fee.
