Proposed Administrative Rules

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation proposes amendments and a new rule for the General Health Provisions for Health-Related programs (16 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 100, §§100.1, 100.31 and 100.50). The proposed rules implement House Bill 3078, 85th Legislature, Regular Session (2017), which transferred the Texas State Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners to the Department.

The proposed rules are published in the April 13, 2018, issue of the Texas Register (43 TexReg 2211). The Department will accept comments on the proposal until May 14, 2018.

The Department encourages anyone interested in the General Provisions for Health-related Programs to review the rule proposal online. Comments may be submitted by email to erule.comments@tdlr.texas.gov.

Administrative Rules Adopted at March 27th Commission Meeting

The Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation adopted rules for the Behavior Analysts program at their meeting in Austin on March 27, 2018. The new rules are effective May 1, 2018. This meeting was archived and is available on TDLR's YouTube channel. The agenda is available online.

The next Commission meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2018, at TDLR's North Campus.

TDLR Health Monitor - Q1, 2018

TDLR publishes the TDLR Health Monitor, a quarterly newsletter with news and information about the health and medical-related programs under the TDLR umbrella. This issue was published on February 16, 2018 and you can read it online.

TDLR Proposes Amendments to Administrative Rules

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation proposes new rules for the Licensed Behavior Analyst and Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst program (16 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 121, §§121.1, 121.10, 121.20 - 121.27, 121.30, 121.50, 121.65 - 121.70, 121.75, 121.80, 121.90 and 121.95). The proposed new rules implement Senate Bill 589, 85th Legislature, Regular Session (2017).

The proposed rules are published in the February 2, 2018, issue of the Texas Register (43 TexReg 501). The Department will accept comments on the proposal until March 5, 2018.

The Department encourages anyone interested in the Licensed Behavior Analyst and Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst program to review the rule proposal. Comments may be submitted by email to erule.comments@tdlr.texas.gov.
